Stephanie is a Partner at Clarke Silverglate and member of the Firm’s appellate and litigation support practice team. Prior to joining Clarke Silverglate, Stephanie worked at a nationally recognized trial firm and has defended a variety of clients, ranging from many Fortune Global 500 and internationally-based corporate companies to local Florida businesses, including insurance companies, large corporations, retailers, condominium associations, and municipalities. Her vast experience has allowed her to develop a unique skill set to represent the Firm’s clients efficiently and effectively in a wide range of high-exposure cases spanning various practice areas such as products liability, premises liability, constitutional and civil rights, commercial and business litigation, and other complex litigation matters.
Stephanie brings invaluable insight into all areas of both the appellate and trial processes. She works as an integral part of trial teams, assists in the preparation of cases leading up to trial and serves as appellate counsel during and after trial. She is adept at identifying, analyzing and effectively framing issues on appeal, efficiently researching complex issues, engaging in advance motion practice, preparing state and federal appellate briefs, and presenting oral arguments. Every case receives her careful and deliberate attention.
Rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell®, Stephanie is admitted to the Florida Bar, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Her professional associations include the Florida Bar, the Dade County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Florida Defense Lawyer’s Association. She has authored and co-authored a number of articles and, in 2007, was awarded the “Outstanding Article of the Year” and “Excellence in Writing” Awards by the Florida Bar Journal.
The daughter of Cuban immigrants, Stephanie is fluent in Spanish. Born and raised in South Florida, Stephanie attended the University of Miami where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree. She later obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 2005. When she is not in the office, Stephanie enjoys spending time outdoors and/or traveling with her wonderful husband, Michael, and their two young sons, Tristan and Tommy. Stephanie also enjoys fitness, cycling, running (5Ks to half marathons), and martial arts where she holds the rank of Third-Degree black belt in Okinawan Goju-Ryu. Her hobbies and interests include amateur woodworking, reading, drawing, and photography.
