Professional Experience

Shawn is a Civil Litigation Trial Attorney whose practice focuses on Premises Liability Defense, as well as Commercial Litigation, Product Liability, Class Actions, Construction Law, Real Estate, and Insurance Disputes.  She tailors litigation strategies for her clients that range from Fortune 500 Companies to local Florida businesses. 

Shawn is a member of the Florida Bar and the United States District Court for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida.  She has represented clients at Trial in both State and Federal Court. Shawn’s professional associations include the Florida Bar, the Jr. League of Miami, and the Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation.  She is also a member of the Dade and Broward County Bar Associations.  Shawn participates in community volunteer work and has chaired projects with the Jr. League of Miami.

Shawn was born in Brooklyn, New York and was raised in Long Island.  Shawn moved to New York City to attend New York University.  In 2002 she graduated from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where she earned an individualized Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Philosophy and Human Rights. Shawn then relocated to South Florida where she attended the University of Miami School of Law.  She completed a summer semester abroad in Spain where the courses focused on International Law.   She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami in 2004. She has remained in Florida since starting her law career.  She spends her free time with her family and friends and enjoys culinary, arts and music exploration.
