Clarke Silverglate Welcomes New Attorneys John Cervera and Samantha Gonzalez
September 2021 (Miami, FL) – Clarke Silverglate, P.A. is pleased to announce that John Cervera and Samantha Gonzalez have joined the firm as associate attorneys. John E. Cervera graduated from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2019. During law school, John served as President of the Cuban American Bar Association Student Chapter and Parliamentarian for the Student Bar Association. John also competed with the nationally ranked Florida Trial Team in several national trial advocacy competitions, where he discovered his calling as a trial lawyer. Prior to law school, John graduated magna cum laude from the Honors College at Florida International University in 2016. Prior to joining the firm, John worked for a boutique litigation firm in Coral Gables and interned with Gainesville and Miami State Attorney’s offices, gaining significant experience in all phases of civil litigation in state and federal courts. Samantha Gonzalez graduated cum laude from Florida International University College of Law in the top eighteen percent of her class. Samantha was Executive Articles Editor for the FIU Law Review and worked as a research assistant to Professor Kerri Stone in the area of employment discrimination. During law school, Samantha interned for the Honorable Kathleen M. Williams of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. She also clerked with a defense litigation firm and an AmLaw 100 litigation firm. Prior to law school, Samantha was an intern investigator with the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia and worked as a legal assistant in a South Florida criminal defense office.
